Grants and partnerships

The city offers a variety of grants and sponsorships designed to support innovative cultural and community activities. Individuals, community-based organisations and local groups that enhance the provision of programs, services and support to the Subiaco community are encouraged to apply.

Community Development Grants

The City of Subiaco supports projects and activities that promote wellbeing and a sense of belonging to Subiaco’s community by funding not for profit community organisations and groups via the community development grants program.  Funding of up to $5000 is available for not for profit incorporated organisations and up to $1000 for not for profit unincorporated organisations and groups. Not for profit unincorporated organisations and groups can apply for a grant of up to $5000 providing they are under the auspices of an incorporated organisation. Funding rounds take place twice per year, in October and April. 

Applications for Community Development Grants close at 4pm on the following dates:

  • Friday 31 March 2017
  • Friday 29 September 2017

Successful Community Development Grants

Community Panel Member

The City of Subiaco is looking for a community representative to join the Community Development Grant panel for the next round of grants in March. The grant panel discusses the applications received and chooses the successful applications.
 
If you are interested in events and activities within our community, and would like to be involved in the decision-making process, please complete the expression of interest form by Sunday 9 April and email it to culture@subiaco.wa.gov.au. The panel will be meeting in mid-April to discuss the applications from the March round. 

 

Rolling Grants

Do you have a great idea you’d like to implement in your community? Perhaps you would like to host an event for your neighbourhood such as a BBQ, movie night or street party. The city offers grants of up to $1000 for projects, events and activities that promote wellbeing and a sense of belonging in the Subiaco community. 

Projects can be proposed by a group of at least three community members or a local not-for-profit group or organisation (incorporated or unincorporated).

Submitting your application

Applications can be made all year round by submitting the online application form.

Youth Achievement Grants

Youth Achievement Grants provide young residents aged twelve to twenty-five years with the financial support to actively participate in the community, and aim to assist personal and professional development of young people in the city.
 
Individuals may apply for grants to assist with costs associated with participating in an event, competition or community project. Applications can be submitted all year round, however retrospective applications will not qualify.

Each year the city partners with a number of organisations to bring cultural events to Subiaco. This funding allows the city to offer positive benefits to the community, add value for residents and develop relationships with the community and community groups.
