Immerse yourself in immersive technology
Have you experienced virtual or augmented reality before?
Join Adam Geoghegan from Immersia to learn about the history and use of immersive technology. Discover how virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) work, how they are being used today, and their impact on a local and global stage. Adam will talk about his own VR experience and show examples of current and future VR headsets. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session where you’ll discover how VR experiences are created, where they are used and the ethics surrounding these new technologies. Plus there'll be free VR demonstrations on the night so you can try it for yourself.
Reserve your free ticket online.
VR trials will also be available to library visitors from 14 March to 12 April. Visit the library with photo ID to immerse yourself in immersive technology.
