Visit Subiaco Museum’s latest exhibition Founding ‘New Subiaco’: The Benedictine Connection and fill out a quick survey about your experience for your chance to win one of three olive trees being given away between September and November.
The exhibition follows the journey of Spanish monks Jose Serra and Rosendo Salvado from their beginnings in Europe to their eventual separation at New Subiaco in the mid-nineteenth century. Accounts of partnership, perseverance and changing vision tell the story of the rise and fall of the Benedictine monastery at New Subiaco.
The olive trees up for grabs are reminiscent of those planted by the monks in the local area in the 1850s. Explore the exhibition at Subiaco Museum, 239 Rokeby Road, Subiaco, Tuesday to Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
