Main Roads will begin upgrading the Haydn Bunton Bridge over the railway line in Subiaco from Friday 15 July to improve safety and access for pedestrians and road users. The project is expected to take six months and will include:
- reconstructing two footpaths
- installing new guardrails
- upgrading the electrified railway protection screens.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the works however road users may experience some delays as a result of the lane closures and speed restrictions. Road users are encouraged to use alternative routes where possible.
There will be one lane closed across the western side of the bridge during the first 12 weeks, followed by a lane closure on the eastern side of the bridge for a further 12 weeks.
Updated information will be available on the Main Roads website (external site).
